USCIS Updates Guidance on Work Authorization for Ukrainian Parolees
Individuals must enter the United States by September 30, 2024 to use Form I-94 for Form I-9
On August 6, 2024, USCIS issued updated guidance regarding which Ukrainian parolees are employment authorized incident to status and therefore may present an unexpired Form I-94 during the Form I-9 completion process. Ukrainian parolees may proffer a Form I-94 bearing either a "UHP" or "DT" class of admission to demonstrate work authorization for ninety days so long as they entered prior to September 30, 2024.
Individuals paroled after September 30, 2024 must provide an unexpired EAD (or other acceptable documents from the List of Acceptable Documents).
