U.S. Department of Transportation to Release Revised Federal Drug Testing Form Effective September 1, 2021
The U.S. Department of Transportation revised federal drug testing Custody and Control Form (CCF) will take effect September 1, 2021. The current version of the Custody and Control Form may continue to be used through August but will expire on August 31, 2021.
What should employers do?
Once you receive your supply of the new CCF, please dispose of your old forms to avoid mistakenly using them. Using the old forms will cause delays in the lab processing or, in the worst case scenario, the specimen could be canceled by the lab if an affidavit cannot be secured. New forms will automatically be sent to clients in a limited quantity by our lab partners; however, if you would like an additional supply of forms please contact your sales executive, account manager, or our customer service team.
How will Truescreen help?
Truescreen will continue to monitor CCF supplies and communicate with additional information as the August 31, 2021 expiration date approaches. If collection sites or mobile technicians are in possession of a client's old CCFs, we will reach out to ensure they are supplied with revised forms.
